Have you done something lately where you thought, it'll probably be rubbish, but done it anyway, and then been proved right? Why did you do it?

I watched Crazy Rich Asians. I wanted something that my brain didn't need to engage with, but was a bit of pleasant fluff. It really was terrible. But I watched to the end anyway to prove myself right

How about you?

I had a half-hearted wank. Kept going, came and subsided into self-loathing afterwards.

A lot like eating a Pot Noodle.

I tried to change my balcony lights, my drill won't cut it so I'm getting an electrician out just because he has a better drill

I did something similar but had to admit I was wrong. So I kinda won even though I lost! I watched les misérables thinking I'd hate it and actually found myself enjoying it. So not a wasted couple of hours after all!

People do think I'm odd setting out to watch a film I thought I wouldn't like though. Glad it isn't just me that does things like that.

I watched Bridgerton. Thought it would be rubbish. Really liked it. And got horny too. So kind of the opposite of what you're asking really!

Started watching Love Island.

Same shit different year.

No doubt we'll carry on watching it because we're sick masochists and our brains need turning to mush.

I came back onto Fab after a short break. So far it has proved as frustrating as the day I left. Used to be so much better, a lot more interaction and meets. But not giving up hope yet, just feeling let down by another timewaster.

Oh it's so cute though!

Yeah, I drank some kombucha because I remembered Incandescent telling me how good it is for me. New me and all that.

As fucking grim as I thought it would be. Still drank it though.

Rancid water.

I don't mind a good quality kefir.

Yeah, the fact it's so good for me makes me determined to continue with it.

M&S remedy? Thank you, really appreciate the tip, going to screenshot that and pick some up tomorrow to try.

I tried the remedy ginger one.... one sip pulled a face at how grim it was but did the same and drank it rather than waste it

Tried to fix a petrol lawnmower, had no idea what I was doing but because it started and ran for a bit, it could be petrol problem.

Took bolts out around air filter and drained a chamber with petrol in it, pissed everywhere, bolted it all back together, cleaned spark plug and guess what, still the same.

Why do I bother.

So later on a woman will call into a lawnmower repair place and have to admit I've had a tinker but failed.

Perhaps you should have put petrol back in rather than piss.

I hope this helps.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

It did and the lawnmower man asked what I used to clean the engine.

Family secret I said.

I had a job interview but it wasn’t with a person on a zoom meeting but a recording. So they send you a link, they give you several questions and you record an answer, within a specific time limit.

I really tried to do it, but couldn’t, just felt wrong and weird.

So on the second question I literally recorded ‘fuck this, this isn’t the way you should be recruiting’ and sent that.

Not heard if I got the job

That sounds pretty awful. I'm not sure I'd have been able to record anything

My nan’s spare room.

Did one of those Clued Up things on Saturday. Was meant to be an app based murder mystery trail playing detectives.

In reality it was pretty dull.

However the pub afterwards was great.
