I remember the name but can't place any songs without cheating and using YT.
Not that it means much. I only know Drake, who is one of the highest selling artists of the last decade, by a couple of memes. Couldn't tell you a single song by him. |

"Yes I remember them, Big Area was one wasn't it? "

Correct! Big Area was their seminal hit. Which also happened to be the signature song for the movie "Slipstream" - an equally obscure movie starring Mark Hamil, as a vehicle to re-launch his career after the Star Wars movies. Failed miserably. |

"Who remembers this obscure band? I do; but none in my circle of friends.
I thought they were great!"
--I thought their big hit sounded a bit like U2 did at the time. Kind of posey like Bono too - all very 80's! -pt |

I thought they were good.
Ive got 'The Motive' and 'What does it take' (featuring Belinda Carlisle) on 12in.
And ive got the albums Big Area, and First (The Sound Of Music) on vinyl.
But the band didnt last long.
And Mark Shaw made a bit of a prick of himself on that "Remade In The USA" programme |

I used to be a recording studio brat in my very young teens. TJ were one of those bands that would let me hang out with them. They were really great guys.
