Time to dust of those Blue suede shoes, stop feeling lonesome tonight and get out to see the new "Elvis" movie. The King, the man the myth the legend has always been one of my guilty pleasures, especially the Vegas era and hopefully Baz Luhrmann has cooked up a proper kitsch fest.
Anyone else excited about watching this. Any other sleazy trash fans want to share their love for Tupleos finest. |

The older I get, the more I appreciate Rock n Roll and the music of the era.
I’ll probably wait until it streams somewhere on one of my subscriptions before I watch this one though.
Enjoy it! Should be a blast! |

I wasn't overly bothered about it even after seeing the trailer for it at the pictures the other day.
However, I heard a piece about it on the radio today as I was driving home from work. It sounds really interesting and I'm now keen to see the film xx |

I'm Hoping it's going to be one of those films you need to see on the big screen. Baz does like to go overboard with the visuals |

"I really hope it's a good film, I'm just worried nobody can copy The King "
Well there have been millions of impersonators over the year that have copied him. Guess its a case of if they can do him justice. |

I used to like elvis but as I've gotten older i can see how much of a construct he was. And the fact he was seeing Priscilla from she was 14 or something i think is well dodgy. I don't care if it was normal in the south in those days, it's dodgy. Won't be watching this, no offense to any fans |

"I didn’t know that this was a thing till I was at the cinema the other week. I’m a big Elvis fan and have been to Graceland but I often worry about these Bio pics. Hopefully it’s good though "
I doubt it will be "historically accurate" just a bit of glitz and glamour like Moulin rouge or Romeo and Juliette. |

""Out there in the dark,
There's a beckoning candle..."
Not listened to the King in a long time. I see a rabbit hole to fall down today."
Well if you're free for a date.... |

If only. Don't run a pub, is my advice, you can't have nice things if you do. |

Yep, I hear that loud and clear. My only free time to the end of July is squeezed into a few hours on a Sunday afternoon lol. |

I am very excited for it but sadly I won't be able to afford it. I love Elvis stuff more than most... In fact, I don't think I have even told P I used to attend Elvis nights at a local club for members...

"when I saw this title in the forum index I thought Her Maj had snuffed it (I don't watch telly or listen to news) but like the poor old 'Heir of Sorrows' himself, I was evidently jumping the gun!"
I'm the same with no TV/ social media. Don't see myself rushing to welcome Charles to the throne. Harry however, love a bit of ginger ;-p |
