Tonight at 8pm on BBC Two.
The series “Back in time” is on and this time it is focused on the Asian life in Birmingham from the 1950s, right through 5 decades.
It looks really interesting. I enjoyed the other back in time programmes  |

Birmingham's alright. I was quite pleased to see Wolverhampton get a mention. And not just for our most infamous MP Enoch Powell "
Although I really quite dislike Wolverhampton as a city, I have some good memories of the place. The civic is probably the best music venue I've been to. |

I like the Civic. It's nearly at the end of the refurbishment. Only taken 6 years  But it does look really good  |

I've not been there since 2015. Still, it's a nice intimate venue |

The only time I'm ever in wolves is for the civic or the Slade rooms. |
