I'd agree with the sentiments already voiced here. If you are feeling that your health is taking a dip, it might be worth recovering if at all possible then getting back on the horse after. If not, it would be a balance of if you feel able and if your health will allow for it. I certainly wouldn't be hanging up the boots just because of age

Curiously, I am thinking of retiring because I am starting to wear 'nylons'.
When you have to start using compression socks every day because your ankles get puffy by the evening and are starting to get discoloured, is your body trying to tell you something? |

I am a few years older than the O.P.
I am finding that as you get older the recovery time from illness or injury seems to get longer.
A recent fall in my house kept me out of action for 5 weeks, normally two or three days and I would be up and about.
Still aiming for 99 though so that I can be the Oldest swinger in town  |

It's really only you who can decide. I think that while you enjoy something age shouldn't be a barrier to doing it. It's possible that you might have to adjust the way you do whatever it is though. |

Sometimes this place is an awkward distraction, if you are finding that, maybe you could hide your profile for a bit while you get well again? It's not uncommon to still feel aroused while poorly, there's often so little you can 'do' for it though - or it might not ultimately help you too much if you do find something(!) I don't know.
