I really need some bacon, a steak and a chicken drumstick. But there are no shops open near me at this time of night. Advice please?

No, you don't understand. As a single man, it is in fact almost impossible to get meats at any time. It's just when it is late of night, and you see the couples enjoying their meats, with the juices from those chops running down their chins, that I get especially frustrated.

I’ve had couples say they’d meet but then either not turn up or block me for no reason

I've had pork sausages promised to me which turned out to be vegan, for no reason

I know. The way that single men are treated is disgraceful. I told one lady that I was into liver and onions and she told me I was offal.

Thanks for your kind offers, Catnipkittykat and Blu1986. Unfortunately I live too far from both your freezers. I need to satisfy my cravings sooner.

I know that the key to success in getting a meat is confidence and the ability to start a conversation. My trouble is that when I go to the butchers and see the tempting display of all those luscious milfs (Meats I Would Like to Fry) I just don't know where to start.

You gotta start simple and build up your skills.

Quick fry steak for starters, before you progress to fillets or tomahawks.

Chicken, almost impossible to fuck up.

Bacon, a meaters best mate.

I think you would have more confidence the first time if rather than flying solo you went in the butchers with a FB (Fan of Beef)

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I went to the butcher the other week and there were four couples in front of me looking for unicorn meat.

Thanks for your suggestions. To be honest I am so desperate I would take a BBC (Barbeque Blackened Chicken) right now.

I know that feeling. I decided I’d go vegan. There much more veg markets around plus I can grow some in my garden so when I feel hungry I can get fresh lettuce or celery 24/7.

Ooh, I have enjoyed this thread. It was nice not to have to mince my words. However, unlike listening to Radio 4, I can't classify this contribution as Intelligent Time Wasting and I can put off vacuuming the house no longer. Let's do it again sometime.
