I was given one but took the card immediately out because I didn't want to look like a self-important knob

That would just be silly.

I have one but don't use it as I don't like anything round my neck. I've got them on a card holder which I can hook onto my jeans pocket x

Wirral

I used to work for a company that sold a food thickening product for dysphagia.

We all had company lanyards and it was only when I went for petrol one lunchtime and noticed the guy on the till laughing like mad that I realised a lanyard emblazoned with "THICK & EASY" probably wasn't giving the best impression.

I did learn to take off my pass the second I got past the security gate though

Yes but I chose to wear one on the side belt bucklethe one with the retractable string rather than the normal around your neck

I've done jobs where I've had to have a lanyard. Often with a card saying AAA attached

La la land

I've got one as I can't get into my building, or different floors within the building either. Though I use a ski pass holder as I don't like things hanging around my neck

I have one for when I go into the office. It broke recently so I got a new one that has extra security. There's 3 ways to open it rather than just one. So if someone tries to str@ngle me with it they probably won't succeed. Which is good to know
