What about bitter? No gas, such as in lager and tastes great. |

It’s all matter of taste.
I like hoppy beers, so ipa is perfect and probably my favourite. But it’s popularity is now a little overwhelming. Everyone thinks shoving more hops in makes a good ipa.
Also, I’d agree that Brewdog is over rated.

"Fun fact, it was invented as standard beer would go off on the long voyage from the UK to India"
it’s clever really. I don’t know if many people are aware that another fun fact is the hops are a type of ‘hemp’. For those that don’t know or are interested ….
Here’s where I feel people take me of any potential hotlist. |

Canned lager (or any lager ) in the uk is shockingly bad.
But I have had one nice lager this one time. And sadly can’t remember the name
But fizzy tasteless drinks or not for me. |

I started drinking Flowers IPA in 1989, and have loved drinking similar flavoursome ales ever since. I also drink various porters, and make my own cider from apples from my garden |

How do you press them. I’ve got access to a bunch of pears. I’ve thought about throwing them through a juicer but it will take forever. |

Fucking nonsense? There's a lot of people enjoying a nice drink and a lot of companies making good money supplying it. Given that IPA has been around for getting on 2 centuries I'm not convinced by your "new fad" statement and consider your "fucking nonsense" an indicator of a less than desirable character trait that thinks of people with different tastes as less than ...

They may have been referring to craft beers rather than the properly brewed real ale. |

Doom Bar was quite good until about 10 years ago when they seemed to change the recipe to make it sweeter. |

Of course taste also depends on what else you’ve had in your mouth
I like some IPAs and like most beers around 4 to 5% alcohol.
Am not a fan of anything brewed by hipsters but find there is a ton of great breweries in my area alone.
But beer out of a can watching the telly is not a great experience compared to a decent pint in a glass outside in a pub garden. |

"Love hoppy IPAs - beers that taste zingy and fresh. "
With you all the way mate Love that refreshing wetness which then ‘balls up’ over the tongue, drying out your mouth, encouraging another drink…..
Sounds kinky that doesn’t it? |

I love a nice cold hoppy IPA or even an American Pale Ale. Dark Star do an excellent APA, also very keen on Five Points Brewing and Hepcat IPA on keg, my choice of beer before heading off from the pub to football. |

My son introduced me to this ...I like it |

St Austell brewery Proper Job IPA.
Real beer is like real cheese - they're all different, they all have definite flavours. Some people like Wensleydale, some people like Stilton, some people like a strong Cheddar. Anything that has a distinct flavour will be hated by some and loved by others.
There is no "Ruby ale is better than IPA", there is just "Ruby ale is different to IPA". Some people like one, some like the other, some like different types at different times. |
