Based around The Predator hunting Native Americans and the Native Americans are speaking English.
Why dont they just find some Native American cast with subtitles or film it in a different period?

The producer of the film is Comanche, and the film has been shot in Englash AND Comanche.
"Trachtenberg explained the film was shot in English and Comanche, with the entire cast performing an alternate all-Comanche dub of the film. Because the film is being released through Hulu, audiences can pick which language version they watch on the streaming service"
So, it's a big yes for me. |

Exactly this. In fact I think it is a world first, the first movie to have a full Comanche audio and subtitle. I applaud that. I tend to watch other language films with subtitles anyway, I find English dubs can detract from the experience. Almost sounds artificial and lacks the required emotion to match the actor.
I like that they are trying something different, and have adjusted the predators weaponry accordingly (which was evident in the first film, dropping the laser when hunting unarmed folk).
I think it has promise and will be giving it a shot. Hopefully won't be disappointed. |

Hollywood tends to batardise things when it comes to culture. We chalk this up to America being a somewhat young country and being made up of lots of cultures. |
