I’m aware that happiness is a fleeting sensation and part of the peaks and falls on the spectrum of human existence, yet it’s something that we look for, strive for and build our lives towards.
My question, dear fabbers, is what makes you happy or what would make you happy right now? |

Right now a simple cup of tea makes me happy. But happiness is a strange beast, that treads the line between what we want and what we need. I really want to move house to somewhere about 2 hours away. But that wouldn't make my daughter happy... My long term Happy goals are therefore on hold, and I'll go for the little wins. Health and (enough) wealth for now, decent friends, a good fab fwb, bike rides in the sun and those times when you turn Radio 6 on just as it starts a belting tune. |

random hugs from my daughter.
Randomly being told by my partner that she loves me.
Good morning messages.
Being told I’m pretty.
Having a fresh trim.
Fresh bedsheets.
Grime music. - this one especially.
Following that- spitting your favourite rap song word for word without any mistakes |

My family, dogs, being in the garden on a sunny day (like today) , taking in lovely sights and sounds while out hiking or working on a river bed while panning, dancing and larking around.
All these things, for me, offer moments of happiness and joy, there are many others that do also.
Right now, I'd certainly be happy if someone was following me around the garden fanning me to keep me cool |

I would be happy if someone would help relieve the paining my neck and shoulders.
My kids, family and friends make me happy. Quality time. Cuddled with my doggy. There are lots of things that make me happy. Hopefully in time maybe a partner will come along snd add more happiness |

Once upon a time i was happy as iv ever been but the problem with being happy is it gives you something to lose
And what goes up must come down so unbelievable happiness lost becomes utter and uncontrollable despair
As a result i dont feel il be that high again better to not care about anything saying that tho
The the addictive nature of happiness means were i to see the source of mine again i wouldnt walk away |

Happiness is...
...Time with family and friends, the doggo, playing sport (ok, winning), the gym, time in the sun (but also cosy pubs on a cold winter's day), coffee, the mountains, music, and almond croissants. And Steve in shorts, which it seems is universal. |

My garden.
My car looking gleaming after I have just washed it. Especially when it is a sunny day and washing it isn’t really a chore.
Spending time with my children and grandsons.
Walks in the countryside.
Dancing.
Sex.
Spending time with friends.
Cooking great food and eating it.
Reading a really good book.
Going no contact with the toxic people in my life…. This really increased my overall level of happiness immensely!

I am generally a very happy person; it's rare for me to feel down and when I get the blues they don't tend to stay for long.
Things that are making me happy at the moment are:
An ongoing conversation with a friend
Unexpected WhatsApp messages
A huge mug of coffee
Watching dogs playing on the grass
Imagining the tutor from last week's course is flirting (pretty sure that's my imagination but his messages still make me smile)
Colleague getting a well deserved promotion
Fresh bedding on my bed in readiness for a guest tonight
A pot of pinks on my desk that has flowered and smells beautiful
The sound of seagulls crying as they swoop past my flat |

Happiness is my children playing without fighting; getting something finished, be it the laundry, the vacuuming or actual work that I get paid for; a cycle on a lovely day; a cuddle in front of the TV.
But right now I'd be happy if someone gave me cake and found the remote control |

"When it's sunny and Steve has short shorts on and I see his pickle. "
It hangs out the bottom sometimes if I don’t wear underwear. That’s how short they are |
