Headlines that in 2020 metropolitan police officers strip searched a black schoolgirl looking for drugs they never found ...

Should the headline be .

Metropolitan police officers strip searched a schoolgirl.. ?

The headline should be whatever the truth is...

In an ideal world.

No, Tom. And suggesting it should be changed to that suggests a very poor understanding of the experiences of Black people (including Black children) with the police. You don’t have a poor understanding of that do you?

"

If the schoolgirl had been white there wouldn’t be a strip search and no headline.

It’s not just descriptive of what happened but endemic racism in the met.

That’s what I understood. The poor girl understandably traumatised and apparently there’s a track record of this.

If heads don’t roll the Met is unfit for purpose.

The Doctor may be confusing two separate incidents . No wonder you get admitted to hospital with a dodgy right knee and they amputate your left ear .. an assumption that the Dr is a Dr of Medicine of course and not Archeology..

Or another worthless ology .

Race is absolutely relevant, because it is very common for black children to be 'aged' and treated as adults by authority figures. This wouldn't have happened to a white schoolgirl.
