I think the 'swipe right' ratio that women do is very low compared to men. So you need to stand out from the crowd op. Maybe pics of you baking a cake, petting a cat or dog might work. You must be doing something wrong. I switch ‘show on tinder’ on rarely , but get dates within a day or two, it’s far more active than here and I never need to send the first message.
Have you got some interesting / different pictures, linked your Insta? Lots of profile text. Have you been 100% honest what you want ? Women can spot fakes very easily.

I have it set at 40 miles. Over that, distance could be an issue.
And I've tried swiping during the surges/peak times too
I used to set mine to 1 mile, then I knew if anyone further than that appeared, they'd liked me. Better than paying to see."
