Secret hideaway in the pennines

I love seafood, but I can't bring myself to try oysters, there is just something about the look of then that I can't get past that.

So love them, hate them, what is your opinion

Vomit inducing...

Imagine swallowing down a lump of salty snot and that's what it's like.

I buy them on local markets and I have them shuck a few so I can eat them there and then. You won't find a vegetable with more bioavailable nutrients.

Sounds like you had low quality oysters.

How is an oyster a vegetable?! It’s a living thing!

That's the point. You won't find a vegetable like it. Animal products are vastly superior for bioavailable nutrients.

I have eaten them but I prefer Moules. Bowl of moules et frites, cold beer and a bottle of chilled white- love it!

It could work: Might try one, along with sushi, but I’d zap it in the microwave for a good couple of minutes first, otherwise, I’d just have fish fingers

Microwaves aren't for food, they're for warming up rice bags as we get older.

I went to an oyster and champagne restaurant with my ex a long time ago.

Waiter asked what I wanted.

Bring me the champagne, he can have the oysters.

I managed two scallops with sweet chilli. They are a little too gelatinous for me.

I like the Coquilles St Jacques from M&S as a special treat - in a sauce with mash potato on top
