I always liked a film called Singles. was out in 94, set in Seattle at the height of grunge, so the soundtrack is excellent.
Just a film about friends, relationships. Always kinda made me feel that things can be shitty, but it will work out |

Not a massive fan of a romantic film but there’s two I really like. The first is a bit obvious but really is a classic, When Harry met Sally, it’s actually a bit of a Christmas film as well. Unfortunately mainly famous because of ‘that scene in the restaurant’ but it’s more than that.
The second is called ‘The Big Sick’ a true story how a couple met and their relationship grows. Very funny and not sickly, like some American true romantic films can be.
Would make a great double bill, likeable couples played by very good actors. With storylines that are believable ( especially as one is based on their relationship ) and funny. |

I'm not a big fan of romantic movies they often tend to be a bit clichéd and corny. However, I did enjoy "Enough Said" with the James Ganolfini in it. Maybe because I loved him in the Sopranos but all the same I enjoyed it. |

Great shout - LOVE this film
My suggestion would be Cemetery Junction. Very underrated. Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant directed and though they have cameos, its not about them. Its about three lads with aspirations. Moving and funny. |
