I like him and I think that he is a good actor, he plays a character in eastenders that is called mick carter and he owns a bar, what do you think about him, is he playing the role good? I think that he does that too |

Easy watching films , you know what to expect .
But human traffic was an absolute classic . The guy can act and has his own style .
He's miles above vin diesel and Nicolas cage and they have had an amazing career |

He’s a bad actor and can only play an outdated 90’s version of a “lad”.
Extra moan - I don’t get why people can’t see he’s totally fake. He’s literally been an actor since a teenager. But people think he’s really some down to Earth hard man from the streets. I don’t get it. |

If they’d ever watched Danny Dyers Deadliest Men they’d realise he absolutely shat his pants around proper hard men. |

I saw him in a Harold Pinter play. I thought he was very good in that. Also very good in Human Traffic. He has stayed in Eastenders too long to make a change now. |

"he s a very good actor, because he doesn t have a posh accent , if he spoke like Eddie Redmayne , no one would ask ????"
But I find Eddie "Oscar Bait" Redmayne far worse than Danny "Acting Ability Is In The Name" Dyer |

I'd like to see him play any of Redmayne's past roles, and vice versa. I'm betting he wouldn't do as well as Ed would. |

Do you think Dyer could have played Marius in Les Miserables better than Redmayne could have played Neil in Doghouse-which is the only thing I've seen Dyer in I liked, as it was funny. |

"God damn awful . Next it will be is Steven seagull a good actor lol
Hey! Under Siege was a great movie !!!"
and Out for Justice, Marked for Death, etc. all watchable and can’t compare to DD (chalk and cheese - since SS can actually fight) |

I’ve always though that Danny after was a missed golden opportunity for east Enders to look at having someone to rival the Mitchell’s as a local Hard family.
Also always wanted to see Micky Flanagan(stand up comedian) make an appearance as cousin etc |

"He basically plays the same character in every thing he does. A slightly louder version of himself. That’s not acting. "
While i agree, he's not much different to Tom Cruise, Denzil Washington, Will Smith or Sean Connery amongst others.
If you want an underrated actor, go watch some Matthew Lillard stuff |

I've seen a couple of films that I think Cruise doesn't play himself. |

Ok so DD hasn't got the skill set of a Pacino, Hoffman or De Niro but he has been in some great films even though he is limited to playing the same kind of roles.
Plenty more well known actors were also one trick ponies who happened to be in some great films.
Take Clint Eastwood and swap his poncho and cigar for a sheriff's badge and it's the man with no name or is it Harry Callaghan.
John Wayne was another.
Getting back to DD in EastEnders, at least he brings some realism to the show as he is a true eastend boy who talks like one.
Plenty of authentic vernaculars and a few modern day rhyming slangs thrown in too.
He does what it says on the tin nothing more nothing less, I doubt he professes to be a top actor. |

Same with Will Smith- The pursuit of Happiness was excellent, because he had to play a real life person....this is when i realised that its actually Will Smith I find dull, Equally, Tom Cruises finest moment was probably Tropic Thunder as I took ages to realise it was him! |

Related to the royal family and is a decent geezer.
However, I haven't seen Eastenders in years, and even when he joined the cast I still couldn't watch it. Now he is leaving I haven't missed anything it seems. |
