So I’m guessing we all have our own little routines for when we wake up.
Mine is usually,
Wake up, what time is it, what room am I in, where’s my phone, did I do anything last night that I shouldn’t have done, am I working, I need coffee!
Few other steps but you get the idea! |

So I’ve been reading a book ( yes I know ) and it was talking about waking early and taking time to reflect on being grateful and all this stuff. All very new age and positivity and things of that nature. Now maybe when my schedule is not so packed but does anyone actually do all that? |

Hit snooze and have 10 more mins. Get up and have a wee. Go downstairs, let dogs out and make packed lunches, back to bed to check phone with a cuppa for 10 mins if there’s time. Iron clothes for whoever needs them (not had time for a couple of weeks to stand and do it ahead of time). Shower, clean teeth, do makeup and hair, get dressed then school run. |

I just stare at the ceiling for a bit wondering where I can cut time out of my morning routine. Not doing winged liner usually buys me an extra 10 minutes. Buying lunch instead of making it is another 15. Etc etc. Then I set my alarm for another *insert how much time I've saved* |

The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little prayer for you
While combing my hair, now
And wondering what dress to wear, now
I say a little prayer for you |

Open my eyes and stare at the ceiling and argue with the voices of regret and missed opportunities.
Coffee, and as I wait I cry over the fact time is beating me with every moment of my life and my greying hair.
After my first 3 coffees and doing stuff on my phone I have another coffee before I get ready and start work. |

Wake, bathroom, dress, lunchboxes, empty washer, and dish wash. Empty washing line, rehang washing, fold washing, feed rabbit empty bins. Wake kids, eat breakfast, school run, collage run then into work.
Done a full days work before I get there.

I feed the dog as soon as I've woken up .
I put an affirmations app on my phone and I read some aloud before I get going for the day. I was damn dubious about them but they seem to be helping my low mood. |

"Open my eyes.
Try and think what day it is.
Check the time...for fucks sake.
Fashionably late are we
The fucks sake is because it's so early. "
I once did 12 days of leaving the house whilst it was dark and not getting back in till after sunset, thought someone had stolen the sun! |

"I think reading the honest replys on here then one can guess the age of that particular person before looking at the profile. "
Based on habits or the tone of response? What age did you think I was and were you right? |

"Feel around for my glasses"
I always leave them in a safe place unless I fall asleep whilst working in my office, then I panic until I realise, they are on my head |

Takes 2 minutes to think about 3 things in your life which you are grateful for - I don't know if you need to wake up any earlier for it ... examples: I am grateful my alarm clock went off to wake me in time to hit the snooze button at least once
When I finally hit the bathroom for my morning nuptials, I give thanks to having teeth to brush as well as not being constipated
Mindfulness done for the day and I can get on with it |

Start screaming and crying hating the world like a four year old.
"I don`t want to go to school....work today"
Start caressing my balls and nipples. Watch the breakfast news and Sponge Bob. Have some Lucky Charms. Put some food on the bird table. Then head off.

I think you need to have words with the author of that book, they dragged it out over 6 chapters!
It’s going in the fire pit! |

Nighttime gratitude for me is when my head hits the pillow: phew, I made it through another day without food poisoning the children, losing the dog or stepping in its poo and avoiding BMW drivers who don't indicate - I gotta think creatively |

Don't touch the blue ones!!! They're sacred - you can have the yellow ones but not after having brushed your teeth |
