I might have been dealt with some bad hands by my makers in the past few years, however, heathwise, the worst was having shingles.
It was very painful, however, it was nothing compared with someone I know is going through right now.
One minute she was a picture of health, in a loving relationship, new job ahead, setting up a home in a different part of the country etc., then BAM, she found she has a time bomb in her head in the form of a brain tumour!
It is not yet known if it is benign or malignant, not until they can get to it next week, when the surgeons will attempt to take out as much as they could in one go.
Surgery is invasive, with risks of brain damage and loss of functions etc...
I do not wish it on anyone, let alone someone I care about.
Nothing I can do except to wish her the best of luck next week for the operation, and to support her partner.
I shall continue to count my blessings, and thank my makers for looking after me. |

I wish your friend the very best of luck and hope they caught it in its early stages.
Sadly, its something I deal with on a daily basis, but the survival rates have increased massively over the past few years and there is much more support for those recovering that may need extra support and assistance.
If there's anything I can do, drop me a pm |

My Biological grandad had a brain tumor, found out just weeks before it killed him.
Hearing how my grandma delt with it still makes me cry.
Sympathies to your friend and hope she has a good outcome |

When I first heard about it, I suggested to eat cakes to lift her spirit up.
So I decided to make some cakes for her, the first in many years.
Two of the three cherry cakes I made went down well with peeps, the third was reserved for her. Hopefully she'll like it.
I shall attempt honey and lemon cake next, while munching on the left over glacé cherries. |
