Don't get people walking down the aisle with regret: how pointless and sad going into something doomed from the off.

Was nervous but blissfully happy. Had my one and only panic attack when I got out of the Rolls and could see all the people in the church looking at me. My dad just said take a deep breath.

Cried at my daughter's wedding though...she looked like a princess...sniff, sniff...I'm welling up again...

Did my divorce myself for £500...don't know why people hand over thousands. My ex-husband spent 26p I think...the cost of the stamp to post back the divorce papers.

Yes I did, my parents had already died and my brother gave me away.

Either side of the altar flowers were my Mother and Fathers photographs that my brother had placed there.

I was holding it together until I saw the photos....then I cried.

I'm still married to mine, six years tomorrow since he left, he lives with someone else so if he wants a divorce he can pay. I officially changed my name back to my maiden name back in march, easier and cheaper

Cried when my first marriage ended, then got pissed, then got laid. Best day of my life. Didn't cry when I married Siren as I knew she was getting a very good deal.

I was a blubbering wreck on my wedding day - particularly saying my vows. I'm a very emotional person at the best of times.

I hate weddings. I think they are a total and utter waste of money in most cases. Why the heck people spend thousands on something that can be done for less than a hundred quid I'll never know.

I was married in a registry office, and all I can remember was thinking how drop dead gorgeous the registrar was; he also had a gorgeous Edinburgh accent and I was just like putty. Oops.

I remember my dad asking me just outside the church was I sure. And as I was saying my vows I kept thinking should I. Watching the DVD you can see my eyes look away and to my dad who smiled at me. We lasted ten years the day my divorce was done in court my dad asked me why at that point did I look at him he has wanted to ask me for years! I just said because maybe I wanted you to stop me. Oh well live and learn and the divorce party was amazing ha ha

Unfortunately some spouses are very difficult and awkward so you have to call the greedy lawyers in. My divorce cost me £15k in the end which still grieves me to this day. However, what makes me feel better is knowing that it cost my ex £50k and all because he was an arse!
