"When all the shit hot the fan last year, I ended up buying a 3d printer, just to occupy my mind.
As a result, I have gotten into radio controlled modelling, and am starting to learn CAD.
I" was chatting to a friend in the pub about it and he said I had turned into a right geek |

"Is the printer easy to use?? Expensive?? What have you made with it...also geeks are cool" was about £140, there are lots of vids on YouTube about setting printers and yes, they are easy to use once you get the hang of leveling the bed properly.
So far have printed a 4ft ww2 liberty ship and an escort destroyer, both of which are set up for radio control, I have a part completed Iron Man helmet, a couple of phone stands for friends |

I think they’re brilliant, and I’ve seen some truly amazing things come from 3D print. I build scale model aeroplanes and have bought many a detail part that’s been made this way. I doff my virtual cap to anyone with the skill to model in computer speak. |

"Think of the innovative dildos you can print
The materials used for prints are not ones you'd want to be putting inside you, especially resin!"
True, BUT…there’s nothing stopping you from making a mould from the print, and then casting a copy of it using a body friendly material |
