"Yes. And I love it. Until I get the thought of a shark in my head and then I have to get out if the water.
I should absolutely have left that as "yes" "
Oh I had one of these moments while swimming in the med when I was 18/19.
Put me off the sea for life!
But yes, I can swim. In a pool.

I have those moments in a pool as well. And in the bath. On the loo. Washing up.
It's not ideal |

I swim well enough to get by when doing triathlons. I prefer open water swimming as the wetsuit bouts my sunny legs and makes up for my poor technique. In a pool I do a mile in just over 30 minutes.
I’d rather fart about on a water slide tho… |

Yes I love swimming, growing up Stateside means I pretty much spent everyday of the summer in the pool and swam & dove competitively for years.
Can still sprint a 50m freestyle in a good time. |

Similar, in fact I'm doing a (non branded) ironman distance event next weekend starts off with 2.4 miles in a lake. I'm middling, I won't be the first out the water, nor I hope the last. |

I was diving with 4m tiger sharks 2 weeks ago. Like most scuba divers sharks are my favourite thing to dive with |

I love to be in the water. I’m proficient at front and back crawl but my breaststroke is only half good (arms are good, legs are awful). On a good day I can manage half a dozen strokes of butterfly.
i’m very comfortable under the water (breathing techniques that stand me in good stead for other diving activities ) |

Swimming was my passion in my early days. I used to go most nights of the week and stay for as long as I could. So much so that the chlorine in the water started to bleach my hair. Haven't been for years now |

Only downwards. Didn't go near a pool till I was 7-8 and I nearly drowned, sort of put me off really. I can tread water, and my child enjoys it but I don't have the confidence for it. |

I float....kinda like an annoying wee unflushable jobbie in the pan.
Wouldn't rate your chances if you went over board and your life depended on me saving you, put it that way. |

"Yes. Not as well as I could years ago but that’s with not having time to go much at all these last 10 years. I want to do wild swimming too
Do you like swimming in the sea?"
Yes I do. There’s places that do supervised wild swimming too |
