well totally shocked i had to sprint off for an emergency meeting with some drs (family thing) and the price of a hotel stay for one night ...bloody hell is it me or have they shot up in price ??

Seems like it we've been looking and they're way more expensive than they used to be.

I supposed they need to recoup covid losses like so many business

They have, they’ll probably blame the war in Ukraine much like everyone else is doing to explain their price hikes.

Too expensive to travel, to expensive to stay away from home, too expensive to eat……..

when I was staying in London the central ones were but the outskirts were better ... Still not great tho ...

Went to book one for my son and was over £200 last time before Xmas was £39

Camping is the answer - you have to make more of an effort to keep the noise down though

Booking ahead is the best way to get good prices. Unfortunately at short notice they cost more.

Hotels were artificially cheap during COVID in the hope of getting at least some business.
