Okay I don’t mind being rejected, stood up or told to piss off but is it really to hard for some people to say sorry not my type rather than leaving a message or read or just deleting, then having a go because I haven’t seen your message was deleted

Well I think it's rude for someone to double message so there's that.

No response is a response, it means that they aren't interested, I might at times have planned to get back someone later on, but then they double message at which point is normally a blocking

The FAQs answer this... No response is an acceptable response. You can search the forums for the many reasons why people don't reply when they are not interested (infact on my green arrow you'll see I commented on a thread yesterday about it)

Fab even gives you a big "stop this person hasn't replied to the last message you sent" warning if you're messaging someone who hasn't replied.

After reading so many of these yesterday I went back to responding politely no thank you and pointing out a few things that made us incompatible to meet. Rather than a polite ‘thanks for the reply’ I had each one tell me that my reasons were wrong and that I shouldn’t have an age limit/distance limit/preference to who I meet so I shall go back to deleting those I have no interest in, I don’t have time daily to reply no thank you and less time to keep attempting to hold my ground with my preference. If people read the profile they were contacting there would be a lot less disappointment

You just need to get used to it, happens on here a lot nothing you can do about it pointless complaining, you're a guy and it's probably one in 100 to a woman of Couple, so as others have said we're not going to reply to every message they get , yes you may feel rejected because They havent answered pointless sending a second message, just get on with it and take it on the chin and as others have said as well take it is it not interested

Sometimes if a message has been well thought out then I feel a response is owed

Sometimes it is the fear of abuse that holds me back from responding. Some don't accept that a 'no thanks' is a no, because they either want to know why, or they become abusive.

I don’t reply if I’m not interested. I just delete and block. I’ve always done it that way and saves any potential abuse as well as the fact I don’t have time to reply to them all. I do say this on my profile though.

Maybe it was'nt that your not there type. Could be they reconised you. Or something else. Either way its not rude or bad manners to not reply, if you messaged a load of women on instagram or something similar would you expect them to respond to you?

This same exact thread comes up every week.

I agree that I would like a response back. It’s nice and it’s helpful. But if I think too much about it as I have in the past, it takes you down an ugly path of entitlement and eventually being a creep!

If I was a girl and got 250 messages a day, and spent 10 seconds clicking on a message and saying “sorry, I’m not interested” and then going back, that’s 2500 seconds (or nearly 40 minutes) EVERY SINGLE DAY. And many girls get lots more than 250 messages. It’s just not feasible.

Instead do what I’ve found helpful: delete your messages from your sent folder when you’ve sent one. If you get a reply, that’s delightfully pleasant. If not, I don’t feel like I’m being rejected. Nothing to lose. This same exact thread comes up every week.

Why difference does it make if someone replies no or deletes your message - It’s the same outcome.

Most people can’t take rejection so it’s easier for someone to just delete your message, than to receive why’s, but I’m… and potential abuse.

But replying allows the op to message again, even if they change their filters due to age or what they are seeking.

I’m not saying it’s not acceptable I’m just saying that if said person would have just said not interested in the first place or actually put preferences on their profile then me messaging them after I was unaware the previous message was deleted wouldn’t have resulted in abuse towards myself

It’s not difficult to understand

It tells you if you have messaged them before. Both on their page and as you attempt to message them.

If you can't take two hints then feel free to leave notes about people who you have messaged. It's not rocket science

My number one reason for a delete is that they haven't taken 2 mins to read my profile,so why should I reply to them ?.

I always reply to a well written message where I can see they've read my profile ,even with a no thanks as they're so rare .

Some women (not me ) get hundreds a day and don't have the time to reply individually to each one.

Just delete your sent messages and any reply then is a bonus.

Simple for us we blocked single guys. After our first week of joining we got so much abuse off single guys we decided it was not worth the grief and changed to only wanting cpls and single women. Finding single women is just as hard for cpls as it is for single guys. So cpls is now our main aim which we have our first cpl meet coming up after taking our time. Our advice to guys is talk to the ladies on here as you would to your mum or sister,i.e. with the same respect and not treat them like a cumdump/piece of meat. And thats the biggest mistake guys are making in treating women like crap.

Single women, and indeed many couples get so many messages that it's impossible for them to reply to everyone.

Here's a tip from an old hand though, if you fancy someone then add them to your hotlist, wait till you see them on line then message them. That way your message goes to the front of their inbox. Even then there's no guarantees because, they could be being bombarded by time wasters, daydreamers, wannabes, and picture collectors from all over the country, and you are still well down the list. Personally though I find that strategy of waiting until they are online has worked well for me over the years.
