Not the social media app but the unit of distance used in American films (often military) .I'm assuming it refers to kilometres but since the states are all imperial measures what are they doing using the decimal

The US military does use klicks/km.

Odd considering they use virtually nothing else decimal

It's exactly this reason.. They need to understand distance when working joint ops, so the defacto standard is KMs
