Noticed a few fellow lycra wearing road cyclists out there.

Be great to hear from others who also partake.

As soon as the lycra goes on I instantly morph into a supreme athlete and look like a sex god.

It’s a look that makes non cyclists seeth with q festering level of envy & jealousy.

Definitely a roady

Loved my mtb but sadly a replacement elbow doesn’t like the shock.

Been off the bike a bit, getting closer to getting back on.

I tend to stick to gravel trails and the odd quiet road around here as I can’t be doing with all the hate.

Leeds

I cycle a lot.

I tend to avoid the main roads in Leeds until night-time, because then the only traffic on the road is me.

There are plenty of cycle lanes, but most are full of potholes and badly in need of repair.

During the daytime, I like to go a few miles down the towpath by the Leeds-Liverpool canal.

As a youth I did competitively. I always hated riding on the roads after being clipped and pressed between the van that clip me and parked cars as a teen.

I'm a triathlete, so a lot of my training is cycling. Luckily I live on the edge of open countryside, half the cyclists in Yorkshire seem to come past my house on the weekend

Absolutely love it… sense of freedom and escape when you get moving..

I do endurance road cycling, so keep going until I can’t go any further and seen some parts of the country I’d never get to see flying by in a car..

Totally lost without my road bike..

Appreciate it’s not for all..

Yep, I like cycling not yet got the full lycra set, most of my riding used to be to commute so clothing was geared more towards that. Recently started doing a lot more purely for training/fun and enjoying it.

Pretty pleased to get a 2nd fastest time on a Strava descent segment of a big N Wales climb at the weekend, top 0.1% . For some reason I seem to place better on descents than climbs - in trying not to think that simply means I have gravity on my side ...

You probably wouldn't guess, but I'm more into MTB than road. That said, I do like to mix it up and will be to doing London To Brighton in a couple of weeks time.

Anyone else entered for that?

Been road cycling for several years but recently getting back into MTB. Though I’ll admit I’ve not done much of either recently. Just don’t seem to have the time to get out properly.

I do go full Lycra on the road bike too. Hoping to get out later this week as I’ve got a couple of days off. Even if it’s just along the canal.

Cycling is my main cardio now. In cold weather I wear proper leggings, because it's cold.

Used to cycle all around London and out into Essex before recently moving to Oxfordshire.

Some great roads to cycle between Oxford and Reading

I love the Leeds Liverpool Canal. If you ever fancy a ride out and a coffee give me a shout.
