I wonder why so many threads, especially from prolific thread posters, ask questions and more importantly opinions on sensitive topics but seldom give their own opinion on the matter from the start or even later. It does sometimes feel like mischief. Just saying . |

People have tried to get me forum timeouts / banned in the past on here for asking the OP that very question: so what are your views OP, and why are you refraining from sharing them?

Prolific? I love when people who don’t usually start threads post a controversial opinion when it’s clear they just need to get something off their chest. 
People have agendas op, it’s not always always easy to spot. |

Have some courage of your convictions and stick up for what you believe.
I might not agree with everyone on everything but I have a lot more respect for people that express a personal viewpoint well and are willing to stick their heads above the parapet. It also shows cognitive ability rather than towing the party line and trying to fit in.
As you say, it's a fuck site. But would you rather fuck an arse kissing suck up or someone with some character about them?

I get it too.
I was probably just as guilty of it when I had a single profile.
Obviously us married types have the advantage of someone at home who knows us well enough, how much of an argumentative, stubborn twat we can be....and still wants to fuck us/give us a gobby wank every now and then.
The singletons have to maintain a more impartial stance of course.
Can't miss out on those wazza tits.

But it's not just about how you're viewed by potential fucks, it's also about not wanting to court grief and vitriol from those waiting in the wings to give you just that. I really don't give two fucks if a potential fuck is put off by my waffling and views on certain subjects. We're not compatible.
It's about wanting to spend your energy on daft nonsense because it's lighthearted escapism and considering it's a "fuck" site, spend your time on silly threads where you can just waste a few minutes before chatting to those who want to fuck you/you them.
I used to be far more outspoken in threads but I softened/realised it was pointless over the years. Plus - the debate like threads currently end up being overrun by fallacies and the Very Angry But Also Very Right About Everything and really? It's a yawn exercise. Discussion threads are few and far between right now, still on a hangover from lockdown days.
I'd much rather people didn't try and have an opposing view simply for the sake of having one though (yeah, that's an aside). |

People will always have differing views. If people can't understand that and feel the need to take it offline, into PM's or even F2F at events then they need to give their heads a serious fucking wobble.
Nobody should have to fear backlash from total strangers on the internet.
I get that the light hearted threads are escapism and fun. Nothing wrong with that.
But there's nothing wrong with a serious debate either.
Both can be as enjoyable and also valuable in learning about others.
