Coal has risen 148% and this museum is offering diesel train rides from its museum. Surely the industry can donate some coal or government reduce its taxes to allow kids to enjoy the thrill of a Thomas the Tank engine day..

Same as the Severn valley railway. They are trialling some kind of briquettes as coal is so expensive. The irony is that we have a huge supply underground in the uk. |

Quite a lot money, and wood isn't ideal for them.
Only option is to pass in the cost or use old diesel engines |

That’s what they are doing. They’re running half stem locos and half classic diesel. They are good to see because they get overlooked a little, most visitors prefer steam. |
