Just been reading a story about greatest marketing disasters, yes i know i need to get out more lol.
This was concerning Coors beer an American brand whos slogan is "Turn It Loose" when translated into Spanish it translates as "Suffer From Diahorea" strangely it didnt prove popular! |

Mitsibushi couldnt understand why their Spanish sales of the popular Shogun model, renamed Pajero for the European market, were so poor...until they realised that "Pajero" means "wanker" in Spanish. |

A few yaers ago while on holiday in Greece, my daughters friend asked the waiter at a taverna if she could have a serviette! He had a look of horror on his face until I butted in and said that she wanted a napkin, to which he breathed a sigh of relief, serviette in Greek means sanitary towel |

I can confirm I've never owned a BMW in my life. In fact I've resisted being given one on two occassions. |
