Anyone watching?

Some of the comments on social media. ‘Whos this? They’ve no talent’, ‘wheres tom jones/ shirley bassy/ dame vera lynn?’, ‘theres too many ‘urban’ acts on’, ‘prince George looks bored’, blah, blah, blah. Hilarious. Just goes to show you cannot please everyone!

They can stump up a billion pound for this dump 4 days, but they can't help you with your heating in a few months time.

Anything to do with this pointless monarch should be self funded, and not taken out the treasury.

Unless you hadn't heard almost every household will get some form of help with energy bills. The Royal family bring far more revenue than they ever take.

Let me put it another way.

If the government took the same amount out of the treasury that they have paying for this drivel, every house registered on the current census would get just over 30k to help with what is much more important than jam sandwiches.

Literally so many sheep wanking over this, but in 6 months time will be crying their gas bill is costing over £2k a year

Think someone pissing on their chips will be the least of people's worries when people can't afford heating come winter.

He might not be putting it across in the best way, but people in this thread celebrating this grandiose display of hubris ought to think about this gross misuse of taxpayer money at a time when a lot of people can't even afford to eat. Maybe the cost of living crisis doesn't affect many of the posters in this thread that much, but there are a lot of people living in poverty in one of the biggest economies in the world. In 2022. Have a think about that for a moment.

Doesn't try to be Freddie. His voice is uniquely his own. He honours Freddie. Thought he did really well apart from the fact that usual songs were sung which I found mundane

Starting off with Queen, with the Royal Marines Drums setting the tone for "We Will Rock You" was perfect!

Less so was Diana Ross out of sync to her backing track; a star of her calibre should've performed better.

There was a massive difference in quality to her talking and ‘singing’. 1000% miming and just adding bits in from live vocal.

I mix live sound for a living so I’m pretty good at spotting things like this. Many artists sing ‘live’ over the top of their own vocal that is already at a reduced level in the mix, Beyoncé is legendary for doing this ( she sing live verse and has a recorded chorus that she ‘whoops’ over). Kylie sings over a 60% vocal on her SAW material, the band mimes this section of her show.

Sorry, Diana Ross ending the show was a mistake

Great shame as it was a bad end to a good show.

I thought there was something wrong with her microphone on her first song. "

It was buried in the mix, not the best quality backing track either, you could hear the drum machine cycling it’s programming which on a compressed TV audio is very worrying, it must have sounded dreadful on the venue PA

"First time I’ve ever heard Adam Lambert sing with Queen. He’s no Freddie but he’s got a pretty good voice. "

He said from the beginning he didn't want to try an replce him and no one ever would do. If you watch the Netflix show "the show must go on" it covers their story and how Bri, Roger and Adam didn't want Adam to be tribute act as it were. It's a good watch.

"They can stump up a billion pound for this dump 4 days, but they can't help you with your heating in a few months time.

Doesn't need you pissing on their chips though

Think someone pissing on their chips will be the least of people's worries when people can't afford heating come winter.

He might not be putting it across in the best way, but people in this thread celebrating this grandiose display of hubris ought to think about this gross misuse of taxpayer money at a time when a lot of people can't even afford to eat. Maybe the cost of living crisis doesn't affect many of the posters in this thread that much, but there are a lot of people living in poverty in one of the biggest economies in the world. In 2022. Have a think about that for a moment."

Oh don't worry, nobody has or can forget that life is shit for many people, the crisis is far from over and everyone is struggling but this occasion is a once in a lifetime event, we will never see this again as long as we live.

Nobody would complain if it was a major sports event. I think I read that the UK actually spends more on sports events than Royal ones and don't forget the revenue generated from overseas visitors coming over to join the celebrations has helped the economy.

And do you know, I walked around my town today. Sat with a coffee and watched the children play in the giant sandpit that had been erected for free for the children to use, families playing together.

Walked around and saw lots of free activities and events happening actually and it was amazing to see people connecting, children smiling and just a lovely party atmosphere, I wondered how many children have missed out on days out because their families couldn't afford it? And yet here they are having an amazing time making memories....yes times are tough but can we not have fun when opportunity allows it?

And I bet towns all over the country have had similar events happening today? I for one think it is great

It's literally so easy to have family fun for free. Happens every day.

What doesn't happen every day, is what is about to happen, which you are oblivious to.

There is a reason the French president has warned how he did today.

October, you will look back on this pointless rainy June, and wonder why you can't pay your mortgage anymore.

But hey, least you saw some weird music on the television.

Trust me when I say your world is about to get rocked in October.

That is the great thing about being human, Even when the shit hits the fan and things are pretty bleak we can still take time to be thankful and have a party. It's only all doom and gloom if you let it be that way.

I'm glad Ed Sheeran will help you in a few weeks "

Ed Sheeran has played at my home city the last two evenings and yes I went

The revenue that will have been created can only do my city good

Cafes, bars and restaurants all full. People smiling and laughing and let’s face it we can’t often do that.

Life is for living and after all we are not promised tomorrow

"They can stump up a billion pound for this dump 4 days, but they can't help you with your heating in a few months time.

In 2022. Have a think about that for a moment.

I actually read something about this earlier and it is thought to have been because of the scandal in relation to the party at Downing street the night before the funeral of Prince Philip.

"They can stump up a billion pound for this dump 4 days, but they can't help you with your heating in a few months time.

In 2022. Have a think about that for a moment.

Trust me when I say your world is about to get rocked in October.

Oh I am well aware thank you

It's literally so easy to have family fun for free. Happens every day.

What doesn't happen every day, is what is about to happen, which you are oblivious to.

There is a reason the French president has warned how he did today.

October, you will look back on this pointless rainy June, and wonder why you can't pay your mortgage anymore.

But hey, least you saw some weird music on the television. "

wow your a ray of sunshine aint you lol, bet your a great laugh down the pub

I thought it was a great showcase of British and other talent, and good entertainment.

Avoided it.

Watched Stranger Things Season 2.

Lost respect for The Queen when she paid £12m for her son to avoid court.

People with money should not get away from justice.

Makes you think what else the Royal family got away with.

That is the great thing about being human, Even when the shit hits the fan and things are pretty bleak we can still take time to be thankful and have a party. It's only all doom and gloom if you let it be that way. "

That is actually incorrect.

Studies have shown that the Royal family makes no money for the country at all. If you search the Internet there is plenty of info on it. Their income from rent is massive and very well hidden.

Security and tax breaks cost our country a fortune and why do they get this? Purely because they are born in to a wealthy family.

Their time is limited.

It's possible to not support something and still know the truth.

These two things are not mutually exclusive.
