I still talk to my headmaster from primary school, he's still Mr .... I can't use his first name. Loads of us still do it, he laughs at us

No. I used to when I was younger but now I’m older and been given permission to use first names then I do. Still see some of my old teachers regularly and call them by their first name now because it’s more weird not to at this point |

No. Never been formal. Maybe it’s my age?
People even get surprised when they find out I call my parents by their first names rather than mum and dad. Have done since I was 14 or so.

Yep, as a child of the 70's grown ups were always Mr & Mrs. Even the parents of yer besties.
Close friends of your mum and dad were addressed 'auntie' and 'uncle' and then their first name. Even though more often than not actually related. |
