I don't keep any numbers. Irrespective of the kind of relationship, when it's over it's over. But some people do get really upset when you receive a call from out of no where after so long. Well you meet so many people and after a while, you look at your phone and think 'who is this'? I was surprised that some people keep numbers for ever. |

There’s a good reason I don’t keep numbers
I had a couple of dates with someone , didn’t work out, met someone else the same name and I called him from my car and rang the wrong person.
He said it was nice to hear from me , I was like sorry I was actually trying to ring someone from work and he put the phone down on me
Epic fail

I still have the phone numbers for a couple of my exes, we parted amicably, stayed in touch and are always there for each other. One goes back over 30 years.
If the friendship and goodwill is still there, why not.

Yup that's exactly why it's best to have a good spring clean! It's painful but necessary... |

Surely it's a much better idea to keep ex's numbers and just rename them to 'for fucks sake don't answer that', ' hormonal psycho with 9 cats' and 'the random I once shagged after drinking too much pernod.'

Since my exs are mostly pre everyone having mobile phones, the only ex in my phone is the ex husband who I have a child with.
However, I did still have numbers for dead people in my phone at one point... the only reason I dont now is because it died and I had to start again.
I rarely spring clean my contacts.

Block number and delete all messages
I usually communicate through Facebook messenger or the Telegram app so it doesn’t give blocked people an option to ring me from a withheld number |
