What it says in the topic.
For me, it's Lord of the rings. I just had a meh feeling whenI watched all the films in a single day when I had nothing else to do. |

"Marvel iron man. Dr strange would open him up like a tin of beans"
I could add the entire Marvel universe to the list. It's just that I didn't watch any of them after the second Avengers film |

Avatar and Top Gun, the only 2 films I've abandoned watching.
Avatar - We got up half-way through to get something to eat, and just couldn't be bothered to continue with it.
Top Gun - I've tried twice to watch it, but on both occasions I've had to stop after feeling sick. The synthetic emotion and testosterone overload is just too much for me. |

Anything with Tom Cruise. He has the makings of a creep, that smarmy smile *bleurgh*.
All his films have the same plot line. He's a show off, he loses, he mopes around with a crisis of confidence, the comic relief/girlfriend tells him the truth about his character, he recovers, he goes back and with an epic battle/argument and wins? I might have missed a point or two but that pretty much sums it up?
I'm sure other actors have the same but they aren't as obvious. |

"Anything with Tom Cruise. He has the makings of a creep, that smarmy smile *bleurgh*."
I used to see Tom Cruise as the perfect shiny-shoed all-American hero, in films like Top Gun and A Few Good Men. Then I saw Magnolia, in which he has a bit part as a slimy bastard. Ever since then I've been unable to see anything heroic about him in films, he just comes across as a slimy bastard.
In person, he seems like a nice bloke, from what I've seen of interviews. |

Same here except I saw them in the cinema when they came out. I've never seen the Hobbit films because I know they will be as bad |

That sums up a good 75% of films |

I don't watch the Marvel films for the same reason. Tom cruise films, I am mostly neutral about them. I did love the new Topgun film. But yeah he has been mostly rehashing the same plots for quite sometime. |

Here goes...
Most Tarantino films (except Inglourious Basterds, Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown, they're brilliant).
The Place Beyond the Pines.
Braveheart.
Star Wars - all of them.
E.T. (most Spielberg's tbh).
There's more but I'd be here all day listing them |

Lotr wasn't terrible .... But not for me. Iirc characters didn't save themselves, but were saved.
I think the only film I've stopped watching hair feat through was the hitman's bodyguard

"Don’t look up, comedy/disaster ( yep and what a disaster it was!)
I'd like to respectfully disagree but slightly frightened by how comfortable you look holding a riding crop #sorebunsinthesun"
Meh! I was so bored. Meryl Streep was as always amazing but other than that… pants |

Yip! I loved Blue Valentine so I was excited to see TPBTP... Pretentious, boring, overlong tripe. |

"Legally Blonde it was highly rated and I was forced to watch it "
Forced? PLEASE tell me you were stripped naked, tied to a chair - and whipped (not too hard) with a leather fronded whip if you looked away?
That’s the image I have in my head anyway - and I’m sticking with it! |

Good image. I'll save that for when we make him watch Legally Blonde 2 |

"Another vote for Shawshank, why the love?
"
I think Shawshank is a good film but the way everyone goes on about it makes me like it a bit less. Like, it's decent enough but it isn't a masterpiece. |

Ah I quite liked it, I thought the satire was bang on. That said, I wouldn't watch it again in a rush. |

I tried watching the Marvel films but, with the exception of 'Deadpool', I had to give up, I really didn't care for what happened. |

"Totally agree, as a major film fan I rarely say I hate a film but this one I absolutely loathed. The whole thing stressed me out.
Which one? "
Apologies I thought I'd quoted it, Uncut Gems. Everyone raved about it and I hated every minute |

Dirty Dancing - I'm a massive film buff and love and appreciate all genres but this one just leaves me scratching my head as to what others are seeing that I'm not. |
