Has anyone had their flight cancelled? Do you worry about forthcoming holidays and possible cancellations. I know a few people whose flights were cancelled in the last few days

It's good to see nobody has experienced no issues wuth their travel. The idea of queuing for hours and then going nowhere is certainly not appealing

I’ve been abroad three times this year, from Manchester - no issue at all.

Due to go again the week after next and not concerned.

Our flight home was delayed by 40 mins yesterday but that was it. Was expecting total carnage but it was fine

That's bad. I assume you had booked separately rather than packagem. I hope you may be able to get your money back through insurance

I've read a lot of issues with shocking headlines and photos, but the 3 times I've been this year have been pretty uneventful tbh. Took me 20 mins to clear customs at Manchester. Similar at Heathrow.

Biggest delay was connection in Heathrow coming back going to Manchester, there was an hours delay in a queue to go through security again. I just got off a flight, I'm getting straight on another, my baggage is checked through, but I still need to go through security again, oh and I'm not allowed to take the bottle of water they just gave me on the flight from the Bahamas.

Transfers could be a bit cleverer I think, but other than that no real problems.

At Manchester if on connecting flights you have to collect your baggage & then start the whole process again

Yes, I'm very concerned about disability assistance, the ambulift and my wheelchair being forgotten/sent to Timbuktu. I'm completely fucked if my chair does not arrive with me at the destination and am travelling alone for the first time with the chair in early July.

We have been abroad 3 times in the last 5 months and never had a problem. No delays or flight cancellations. Maybe we got lucky, we didn't see any chaos at the airport, we always fly from Newcastle. No problems in Portugal & Egypt getting in or out. When I see it on the news I genuinely feel so upset for people

Good luck. We had problems even before the excuse of the Pandemic. European airports were better organized but it still took an age to collect us off the plane. When you have a complaint seems the thing to do is to copy in the assistance company, the airport management, the press and your local MP. Nothing will be done of course but it will make you feel better

That seems a bit random at the moment. Travelling back from the Bahamas, bags were checked through to Manchester, as we walked through at Miami I saw one of my bags on the carousel, I wasn't expecting that! Yup had to pick them up and put them on flight to Heathrow. But at Heathrow I didn't have to get them, they went straight through to Manchester. The process just seems random with no real announcements!

Thanks. The ongoing stories of doom and disabled people being left for hours isn't filling me with much hope
