I need one, not too expensive but not cheap either, I’d probably pay put to £80 for one. Needs to be easy to use, as I’m shite at that kind of thing, SD cards are a nightmare as they don’t seem to run on my laptop

I had one but it was rubbish and I couldn’t ever get anything off it.

Suggestions please

I think they should be banned but that's my personal opinion. Dashcams, drones, camera door bells, cctv on every house, cameras at work etc etc., where will it all end? Bring back the simple life. As I said, just my opinion for those who get too passionate with their posts.

I think the idiots who rewrote the Highway Code last year should be banned, hence the need for a dash cam, to prove the eejit who decided to jay walk on a main road in order to cross it and expect cars to stop for them and ends up being hit by a car was their own fault and not the fault of the driver! Same with cars and cyclists who prefer not to look before riding out in front of you

Camera door bells I agree with you… my neighbour used hers purely to spy on me (we have a security door with entry buzzer so her story to using RING didn’t ring true as she’d know who was coming in after they’d pressed her buzzer!) she was reported to both the council & the police

Where did I say I didn’t want to pay for one? And isn’t it illegal to use your mobile whilst driving now?

I've had I think a mini0806. I've had it since around 8 years ago. Works great was a like £30 when it came out in china. Pretty sure there is a series of them as I bought the next model for wife's car.

Very good quality and picture quality. Hardwired into fuse box. So if car starts the cam starts.

Yes there are some rather sad people about that have nothing better to do. That's why I dislike all those things personally but of course some may feel the need for it for various reasons.

Absolutely this, i have the 412 in one & 512 in the others. Ive only had one bump but it was all done and dusted quick thanks to the footage also didnt have to fill mountains of paperwork out. Also used footage to get me out a speeding fine in court

Here’s a reason - on the A92 yesterday just drawing level with a slip road, the was a small truck on the outside lane, I’m on the inside slightly behind him, a car joins the A92, then proceeds to move straight across the lanes to - presumably - overtake the truck, I’m not sure what he was thinking as he either didn’t see me, or just didn’t care, but he literally went to drive into me, I very nearly hit the central reservation, sounded my horn, he came very close, but thankfully didn’t hit me. When I sounded my horn he didn’t even pull over just slowed a bit then pulled back into the outside lane. Couldn’t report him as couldn’t get his registration number, don’t even know what make of car it was!

Due to my ex neighbour who has slashed our tyres, my upstairs neighbours now have a camera in their front window trained on their cars, since they put this in no one has touched their cars, or mine as. Might be something for you to consider

So one neighbour is OK to put a camera up as it keeps your car safe too but another neighbour can't put a camera up outside her door that may catch someone putting something bad through her letterbox . Wheres your logic in that.

Ps Garmin satnav with built in dash cam. Best of both worlds.

You cannot legally have a camera trained on someone’s door to watch their comings & goings. But you can have CCTV overlooking your property (in this case a car) to catch anyone causing damage to it. Does that answer your question?

If you have something against me either scroll past my threads or be a man and take it off the forum and PM me

You said its a ring door bell, your flattering yourself twice , once when you think a the ring doorbell is monitoring your comings and goings and secondly thinking I'm making it personal about you. You posted in the forum I'm quite allowed to make an opinion on anyones comments, yours included. If you don't like my comments then right back at ya , SCROLL PAST.

It does yes BUT! You have to remember if YOU cause an accident you can’t then hide the footage if they ask for it

It works in their favour as well as yours
