Decided to put myself on the market. It’s been a while since I felt bothered to do so. Wish I hadn’t, the dating apps are nothing like they used to be. Millions of ‘liking’ and ‘loving’ going on but it’s almost impossible to message anyone. Unless of course you sign up to around £30 a month.

Some might say that’s worth it if you find something worthwhile and meaningful …I just remember when they were free.

Any recommendations for one that ‘works’?

Thanks in advance.

You will get some suggesting one and others saying another. They are all much of the same and most people are on more than one, especially the ladies as they don't need to pay for the extra benefits of paid memberships.

PoF is a bit of a car crash, as is Badoo.

Bumble has been a total waste IMO

Tinder has the most users apparently and for me has worked better.

Can't comment on others, I'm in the middle of nowhere and there just ain't the volume of members on other apps for me to make an effort

Did wonder about bumble and tinder actually. They have been successful in the past - well, at least in terms of conversations and dating. Nothing last long sadly.
