"….. I’d much rather be warm!! "
I hate being cold. I work in houses. And I can tell you I could snog those that leave the heating on for me. Those that don’t? I talk about them behind their backs in the pub. |

"Heating on? How rich is the op? Mines not going on till 1st November "
Too right. No heating been on here since end of March and won't go back on until November.
Haven't had central heating on for over 5 years when the gas was disconnected after I told them to stuff their daily standing charge for not using it!
I keep myself warm and where I happen to be in the house for any length of time. Had triple glazing and a well insulated house for many years and get good morning warmth on sunny winter mornings to wake up and get up to.
electricity does me 3 or 4 hot drinks a day, a few minutes of fan heater in kitchen or bathroom and hotwater or shower during winter.
Otherwise I have a Calor gas heater near where I sit at the dining table to use this laptop and that normally worked out at about £10 a week but even if it doubles next winter I am miles better off than all the pigate energy users.
I've got stuff in my wardrobe for really cold weather but never resort to wearing it.
When I was a kid there were 'Jack Frost's pictures' on the inside of the bedroom windows. If it ever get backs to those conditions I might start worrying.
What a mollycoddled lot we have become! |

I'm less hardy and more cheap. Piles of blankets, if necessary, until November.
Although I'm wearing a summer dress today. It's not that cold |

I'm cheap too. Four teens use a lot of energy. I've moved to a smaller, better insulated house so I'm hoping that will help. |
