From the land of haribos.

After abramovich swift exit, no doubt cos of his links with putin, they have been quick of appointing a new owner and that is todd boehley. I dont know much about him, do you, who is he and will he be a good owner?

Other than FSG have any American owners actually improved a club?

I’d be worried if I was a Chelsea fan.

They’ll be re-appointing the ‘serial winner’ before long.

Look at the damage the Glazers have done to Manchester United. Taken millions out of the club so that it actually makes an annual loss and failing to provide money to buy world class players. The problem is that these foreign owners have no heart or affinity with the clubs they buy and just see them as a cash cow to line their own pockets. It is an absolute disgrace but it will never change now.

Alleged links. They were never proven but he had denied them for years. He even got poisoned.

Governments are supposed to stay out of football matters. Countries have been harshly dealt with by governing bodies in the past before.

In May last year, William Morris Endeavor impresario Ari Emanuel introduced his pal, Egon Durban, a Silicone Valley brainiac and managing partner of a private tech equity firm called Silver Lake, to Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

Silver Lake managing director director Egon Durban, right, struck a deal with Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak that could save the Citizens from financial ruin

10%. So they're not owned by a hedge fund then. It was probably just a fronted cash injected to bypass ffp.

They won't, after looking into the story you quoted, it was just to bypass financial fair play. An owner can't just plough their own money into the club, it's against ffp. They can, receive investment in return from shares.

They fact you said they're friends add more weight to it just being a front.

And that’s why it’s nothing to do with the club

Ok so here what’s happening

The clubs owed by a parent compey who then is owned by another parent company

Now if I by in to the parent company technically I don’t own the club because it’s owned by x company that’s owned by x company

But if I own the grandparent company technician I own the club just not on paper

I’m no financial expert so could very well be wrong but I’d imagine the 10% would just be inject cash and any further stakes would be for the same reason.

Man City have to be very clever with financial fair play as they’ve already been penalised (sort of) for it.

The club is owned by a parent company, which is 78% owned by sheikh Monsour and Abu Dhabi.

Silver lake have 10% of the holding company. So therefore, Americans do not own man city.
