A friend of mine, who is second language English, today announced with great pride that he was going to ruin his wife at Christmas....
He meant Spoil.... |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I do love it when people make such genuine and innocent mistakes with language.
One of my favourites was a label on a dress that said one size feets all. Not as accurate as your friend using ruin for spoil but it made me laugh. |

Trying to tell the girlfriends mother that I had recently performed a service for a female opera star... Came out as I had serviced her.... |

I have complemented a few people on their arse when I meant to wish them new year, but worst was in a restaurant I frequented replying in a loud and confident voice to the question was I well - not as intended "I am tired" but to the whole restaurant "Io stronzo" - I'm a turd! |

Far more bizarre is when they have only ever addressed you in English and then you hear them speaking in their Mother Tongue.
And why do Latins speak much louder in their own language than they do in English ? |
