The Welsh Chief of Police asks drivers to dress appropriately after a women was arrested for driving offences and when they took her into the slammer they found she was wearing nothing but a coat whilst driving to her boyfriends house to give him a surprise. What have you worn whilst driving that would be embarrassing if stopped .
This is all over the news .. |

"Does Wales have a chief of police?
I have checked the main news web feeds and cannot find any reference to the subject?
Was it in the South Wales Bugle?"
Yes we do but it’s split into North, South etc. the South Wales Chief of Police is a chap called . Jeremy Vaughan. I know this because the headquarters aren’t too far from me and I drive past on my way to Tesco .

Weird as what she was dressed in isn't unlawful. They're effectively slutshaming people by demanding people dress how they say. It's none of their business.

Was also disqualified and had no MOT. She needs locking up for quite a while. |

"Is there much difference between driving wearing a coat or a dress?
Unless it was a see through rain mac I can't see a difference myself. "

I often go to my local club with just a coat over my outfit.
I actually once had a police car pull up next to me when I was waiting at traffic lights when I was on my way there and motion for me to open my window. It was Halloween weekend and I was wearing a blood spatter latex dress and I had blood drip tears down my face. Turns out he was just telling me I'd shut my coat in my car door . |

I've met him and had a pic taken with him shaking my hand - he joked about the photographer having to move back a little to get us both in shot given the height difference.

"Ive done that a few times . That’s not illegal!"
Agreed. The CPS have quite clear guidelines on naturism - it is clearly not against the law to be naked in England and Wales (Scotland has some weird laws and they don’t always like naked bodies )
Given all the other laws she apparently broke it is weird they would mention stuff that is clearly not illegal. |

Totally legal. So if you fancy a drive down South this evening......

. Too warm for a coat "
Well if that's the only thing putting you off, feel free to dispense with it.
Just hope you don't catch a chill on the way down.....

I've done this countless times. Heck I've even done the bloody school run in only a coat. How is it illegal if you're covered? Xx |

I suspect she was probably arrested on other driving violations then happened to be only wearing a coat. How would they have even known she wasn't wearing anything underneath the coat, regardless if this was legal or illegal. Either a bullshit story, or she was stopped for something else. |
