I (Luke) posted about this before the pandemic and I'm having another go because I've discussed it with Hannah and we think it would be really fun if there's an audience for it. The last time I floated it I had a pretty good response.
I want to put together a troupe of four guys to do a professionally-choreographed synchronised group strip tease routine or two. The idea would be to perform at swingers clubs if they'll have us.
The standard male stripper is a massively hunky, oiled ego-machine. I want to veer away from that because that puts off a lot of women and that's readily available anyway. I know dad bods are popular here so I want to have a mix of fit guys and dad bods (two of each). That would be our USP. We're going to be more normal - more "guy next door" - with a mix of conventionally hot and decent but ordinary.
So first of all I want to know from potential audience members. Is this something you would make a point of going to see at a club? This is going to be a substantial investment in time and money if we do it and I need to know there is genuine interest. Last time I posted it looked like there was interest and I want to guage things now.
Please note that this thread so far is about audience. It is NOT looking for troupe members yet. That will only happen if I think we have an audience. |

I would say start with the club owners, they know their members and would have an idea about what people want or would want.
I guess if it's an organised themed night then you'd get people going who would want to see it.
It's not something I would go out of my way to see tbf but the last time I was at Townhouse the dance floor turned into an impromptu dance off, was great fun to watch and had happened spontaneously
Good luck with it. Hope you get a positive response |
