Practical fashion or fashion faux pas?

Would you feature a fanny pack, man bag, murse or simlar?

I wore one when I was about 7. I can't imagine a reason to repeat the fashion errors of the early 90s. I would not wear one again

Love bum bags worn properly or across your body. That’s my summer wear. Or man bags/ pouches. They were popular when I was in school but cba with them now.

I like wearing them although I’m conscious of how I appear to people (based on joking comments) when *I* wear them. IYKYK.

Also I’m much younger than most people on here and have grown up in North London which I think is pretty relevant lmao

I used to have a leather one in the 80’s. I would never wear it round my waist though, I used to tuck it over my shoulder like a regular handbag. Small enough for when I went out and just needed my eyeliner, lippy and my purse with me. I didn’t need keys because my folks never locked the door in those days. I preferred it to a regular handbag.

I used to work with a squeaky clean American girl in London, and she went to Harrods one weekend and asked where she could find a fanny pack (and Ian term for bum bag), and was escorted off the premises.

Harrods went up in my estimation that day.

I wear a man bag when in clubs that are dress down. Need somewhere to hold all your supplies as it’s such a faff having to go back and forth to your locker to grab items.

Also where them at festivals as well so I don’t have to fill my pockets with stuff

Love a good bum bag if it's worn correctly with matching style.

Ie a middle aged dad on holiday with socks and sandals and cargo shorts probably couldn't pull off an LV bag to keep his passport and sunnies in on top of all that. You know?

I used to wear one in the early 90's. Never round my waist though, always strapped diagonally across my body.

Nowadays? Noooooo, not even if someone paid me to

I've got one of those neoprene jogging belts i carry passport and stuff in but that's only so i can wear it under a shirt or t-shirt and its hidden.

Then throw the whole thing in xray at the airport.

I'm seriously considering buying a bum bag. For this time of year, and the next few months. Phone in one pocket, wallet in the other. I'm wearing my sunglasses, but I've got nowhere to put my glasses. I went out last Saturday afternoon, evening. I wore a jacket, just for the pockets. It won't be long before it's too hot to wear a jacket. A bum bag could be my 1990's fashion answer.

Ditch the wallet and just pay with / use your phones wallet , get glasses that react / double as sunglasses.
