Ah no Grumps. His role in Goodfellas was absolutely iconic. I guess he never matched that but did a lot of great work. RIP Henry Hill.

Ray Liotta career certainly had peaks and valleys but he kept it going

A little know movie well worth checking out is called Phoenix, low budget yes. Ray Liotta played Harry who was cop and a compulsive gambler who was indebted to local gangster. It was very quirky with a decent cast.

In the movie 'Copland' Liotta held his own amongst an all star cast including De Niro, Stallone and Harvey Ketiel.

Something Wild.

Narc, Hannibal, .....there's loads to chose from, hell even Operation Dumbo Drop.

RIP Ray

Shocked when I heard it. Goodfellas is one of my all time favourite films and I was going to mention the fantastic Cop Land too.

In addition to his live action roles he was Tommy Vercetti from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City too.

It's such a shame Ray Liotta never got to star in another Martin Scosese movie. The story goes he was offered a part in The Departed but due to contractual issues he was unable to fulfill it. So the part ultimately went to Mark Whalberg - Sargent Dignam

Agreed, Liotta was the standout in Copland

This is sad news. Apart from the ones already mentioned I really liked him in Identity alongside John Cusack

Unlawful Entry with him and Kurt Russell was also an excellent but my favourite has to be Shoeless Joe. Sad news.
