Hi All, anyone heading to Slam Dunk this year? I've grabbed a ticket last minute as friends are going. not sure I'm sold on the line-up this year though |

There aren’t too many bands that I’m a massive fan of that are going this year sadly but hoping I’ll pick up some new ones. I used to listen to Motion City Soundtrack but just found out they’ve pulled out now  .

Yeah I was gutted about MCS but wonder years are playing a longer set so turned out OK for me.
I booked my ticket when it first got announced and rancid and mighty might bosstones were playing but both of them dropped out too  |

Yeah bosstones would have been awesome. I think I’m more psyched for 2000 trees, though I don’t have a ticket for that yet.
Yeah south it is for me. I did south for the first time a couple of years back when nofx and lagwagon were playing. That year there was probably about 10 bands that I was really wanting to see! |

That was the year I did both North and South. The queues for a beer put me off wanting to ever go again but the punk in drublic state made up for it haha. |

It was pretty awesome I stayed over in a hotel that year for it. This year I’m not so bothered and will have to leave a little early on the train.
Was a bit gutted how much they upped the price by, proper spiked it! |

Yeah it’s pretty insane. I really wouldn’t be going this year if it wasn’t more of a reunion thing with some old gig buddies. Hopefully should make it a laugh! |

Ahh it'll be good, I go most years, something always drags me back. Got download the weekend after too, which is probably the most socialising I've done in 3 years  |

This is very true! Download always strays a little too heavy for me so I’ve never been. I had a ticket yeaaaarrss ago but ended up selling the ticket as I just couldn’t afford it |

Must admit I'm looking forward to a bit of sum41 for the lols.
I'm gonna have to miss dropkicks though coz of clashes, but that's the only casualty this year and I've seen them a lot in the past so not too bothered. |

Ffs, Spanish love songs have dropped out, so they've brought in another band, but I think flatliners will be bumped up to headline and will now clash with alexis *scream* |

My biggest tip is wear suncream
I got to site at 11 coz I wanted to watch suicide machines who were great. Standout sets for me were flatliners (obv), the bronx, hot water music, alexis and wonder years. Left before the end of sum41 coz I've seen em a few times before and the crowd got annoying but it was a really great day and one of my favourite slam dunks in years  |

Yeah hot water were great. Enjoyed the vandals and dropkicks too.
We had a big ol palaver at the start at south where none of the bars could accept payment. Longest I’ve ever queued for a beer  |

To be fair after that it was absolutely fine. Whizzed through the bars. And luckily it was early enough that I didn’t miss anyone playing. And they offered 3 for 2 on the first round. |

I'm at download next weekend but just for Sat and Sun. Not a huge amount I want to see but free ticket and a hotel stay so couldn't really say no.
Really looking forward to descendants though, not seen them for years. |

Slam Dunk South was cool
I'd just come off a 12 hour nightshift
So I had to dig deep to get through!
Wonderyears, Bronx, Interrupters
Were all great
But Dropkicks were the band of the day for me
Can't believe how big Sum 41 still are
Crowd was enormous
Overall a fun day and the rain kept off! |
