Nineteen young children and two adults have died in a shooting at a primary school in south Texas.

The 18-year-old gunman opened fire at Robb Elementary School in the city of Uvalde before he was killed by law enforcement, officials said.

Investigators say the suspect was armed with a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and high-capacity magazines.

The teenager is suspected of shooting his grandmother at the start of the rampage.

So sad.....Come on America do something about your gun law etc...

Gun laws in America should be the same as what we have in the UK.i feel sorry for the families who have lost their children and loved ones.

This time it was an hispanic 18 year old shooting children under 10 and a teacher.

The response from the Republican gun lobby was predictable. It's not the guns it's the people using them, why ban guns? The USA is hugely divided on political lines and unless and until that is solved these awful events will continue to happen.

Gun homicide is now the leading cause of death amongst children in the USA.
