Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese art of forest bathing. I've been doing it for years. Go for a walk in the woods, take your shoes off, sit and breathe it in. It's ace.
I even have some favourite trees. It sounds crazy but I'm sure they've got some awareness of me because I feel them smile with recognition at me.
Anyway, I've noticed a rise in people advertising guided forest bathing trips - you don't need a guide!! Just go and enjoy the smells and the feeling of being surrounded by trees.
Anyone else a fan? |

"I am.
Forests with light dappling through the trees, all the different shades of green and bark are just uplifting and soothing.
"

"Excellent I'm sure.
Sadly however all our green space forests are busy public places and don't want to get arrested "
Just look at the trees. Don't shag them. |
