No not trendy transvestites but flat screen LCD's. Last night mine kept going into standby and tonight it won't turn on at all. Quick check on the internet help guides and I'm sure it's the capacitors on the power supply. Phoned the repairs people and luckily they can collect it tomorrow (got to take day off work) and it will be at least a week before they bring it back (yet another day off). In the olden days there were replaceable parts - valves etc!!! Now squinting at a tiny long forgotten portable I found in the cupboard

It sounds like yours in under warranty so good one but, most flatties get capacitor startup issues and repair is usually not economical.

Look at fleabay - it's awash with dead tv's with startup issues.

Oh heck....wonder what I'll get back then? Took out an extended warranty and quite glad I did now as would be struggling to find £400 this time of year to replace it!
