If women prefer taller men, do men prefer shorter women?

Now first and foremost I personally don't mind meeting or dating a woman that is taller than me... and I know #notallwomen and #notallmen, however on a general note I am curious if the men of fab prefer a woman that is shorter in height ? And if so...why is that? What makes shorter women more attractive in your eyes? |

Physically, taller women have the proportions I find the sexiest
However, society has been drumming into me for about 5 years now that short men ain’t shit and no woman would be caught dead with one
So I only date girls under 5’5 because I’d be to insecure to date anyone taller |

It's not something that I've ever really given much thought to, to be honest. I'm a little taller than average so whilst some women are taller than me, the majority aren't. I think what I'm trying to say is that I'm ambivalent to height. |

I've come across numerous profiles where women have stated a (minimum) height preference. And their preference is usually above my height. I respect their preference and refrain from contacting them.
As a consequence I'm instinctively (but not exclusively) drawn towards women of my stature if I'm looking for anything beyond platonic friendships. |

I rarely find my self imaginings being with a taller woman but I do, I can’t help thinking they are hot or beautiful.
But I’m definitely drawn on more occasions to shorter women.
I just need to find very short women that like short men then  |

Maybe on here men don't like taller women but I've see quite a few men in the street with taller women. I don't have any problems with that as I'm short short  |

When i am fantasising about being with a dream woman, in my own mind, the first thing i do is not the scenerio or what they may be wearing. But their height... doesnt everyone ?

I’ve dated a tall woman in the past and B has dated shorter guys as well.
Tallest woman I dated was over 6’ but the physical attraction is much more with shorter girls for me.
From 5’ to 5’4” is about perfect.
Becky prefers over 6’ but personality goes a long way and will win sometimes. |

Pretty much every relationship ice had the woman has been shorter than me. I've not actively looked for shorter women, it's just the way it's been.
I do find shorter - or petite I believe is the term - women attractive, but then all women are attractive and even is She was taller than me (I'm only 5' 8") it wouldn't stop me connecting. |

As a 6ft 2 woman, I have never dated a fella taller than me. 5ft 10 and below, usually. I just don’t see height as an issue and I look for other qualities in a man than his height. If I fancy them then I fancy them.
It has been my experience that a lot of men love long legs and a large ass, and my height has never held me back with men, be it on Fab or off, that I’ve noticed.

I’m tall, pretty much every woman is shorter than me.
There is an aspect of a shorter woman bringing out the nurturing and protective side of me, which I enjoy but seeing as how everyone is shorter, it’s a bit of a moot point |

Same height or shorter.
Many reasons. Mainly because shoerter women seem more my type. And unless skinny, taller women dont seem like id be their type.
Thinking further- Easier to pick up / carry. sexually it's easier for missionary etc.
Maybe comes from natures instinct for the man to be bigger and the "protector"?
(Although not sure how that fits in with general waist size these days!)
Same height is better for going to concerts and stuff so not always worrying she missing out on stuff.
Mind, Taller is better for doggy positions. But heels sort that out. So that alone is not good enough reason. |

Yes, as a preference. By no means a hard rule, though. I have no problem with tall or taller women, if there’s attraction. And no I don’t care if they wear heels or not, either. As for why? Probably for the same reasons as women having a preference for tall or taller men (in reverse). |

I've yet to meet a woman my height, so I'd guess that means I prefer shorties by default.
That said I've known a few who were nearly my height in heels, which was quite nice. Almost a more intimate be thing being at the right eye level. |

Not sure I agree with the "height really isn’t that relevant" part  . As a 5'7 man, my height has been the bane of my dating life...and in some cases even my professional life. |

I don't see height as just an imperfection...I also have never use the word "attractive" to describe myself, all I can say about myself is that I am photogenic and I look good in pictures, however I also think most people look good in pictures (there's nothing special about it) you just have to find a good angle and good light when taking the picture. Another aspect of that is that you can't depict someone's height in a picture...I've been on dating apps where you don't have to put in your height, and the number of disappointed women after I told them my height was astronomical  , simply because there is this preconceived notion, that men that are "handsome" or "good looking" are also tall (it has become synonymous).
Yes, I get many messages from women on fab telling me they like my profile or content, but most also come with some form of reference towards my height ..."I usually go for taller men" ..."I prefer taller men" ..."you're not my usual type, but just wanted to say I like your profile...". So these constant references to my height or height (by women) make me think it's extremely important, and I have become a bit cynical towards people who try to tell me it's not .
I don't let this put me down, but I am aware that when a woman looks at me, I most likely am not her type and she doesn't find me attractive, however it has made me appreciate a woman’s personality more...I don’t care about her height or her weight, as long as she treats me with respect, I am happy to get to know her... |

My personal preference is someone over 5ft8, but that's a preference rather than a rule. Shorter girls are fine by me also, but my back tends to complain before any other part of my body does... |

It's unlikely I'd be with a shorter man as I'm 5' 4". Height is not a criteria I pay attention to, I've been with men who're a few inches taller and my current FWB is 6'4". I agreed to meet him without knowing his height (not from here). It's like anything else, some people care, some people don't. |

Thinking back , most of the woman I’ve dated including my wife have all been close to my height say 5’8” to 5’10” ish .
I think this is probably an optimal normal and in reverse from a woman’s perspective she would go the other way .
To this end , when we are out and about , this is common place as we all go about our business .
It’s only when this stereotypical match is altered we see it unusual. Example a 6” girl seeing a 5”7’ guy , draws attention..
But thankfully sexual attraction throws all this out the window .
