My ratchet screwdriver, claw hammer and wood glue are being delivered tomorrow.

I'm going to attempt at assembling a chest of drawers on my own

I checked. Don't need Allen key, although there was a huge set floating around somewhere.

No idea what a spoke shave is, will I need one for a flat pack chest of drawers?

Thanks.

I know how to do it, it's the weight of the wood I might struggle with. I've put bunkers and wardrobes up alone before

A spokeshave is a type of plane used to shape wooden spokes for things like cartwheels. You do not need one.

If it goes well, we want to know! But, if it goes a bit sideways and you end up with a drawer glued to your backside, hammer tangled in your hair and screw driver in a non sunny place, we want that update too

There's something that has to be tapped in and the instructions says a little hammer, so I bought my own one.

I'm going to build my toolbox back up as mine was accidentally sold with a car.

Well, the package turned up with the screwdriver, hammer and glue, and the nozzle had broken off the glue bottle, covering itself and the screwdriver in wood glue.

My ex thinks I won't be able to manage putting the chest of drawers together on my own and has volunteered to help my daughter do it

That would be novel, but they're bog standard drawers.

As others have stated. You should be ok then. But always handy to have them just in case

Flatpack stuff is usually pretty good to build these days. Just take your time, sort out all the screws and fixings so you are 100% certain you’re using the correct ones in the correct places, and don’t over-tighten anything. Tight is fine, but you can easily overdo it and strip the hole, weakening the strength of the fixing.

You’ll be fine
