When I was 21, my then boyfriend took me to Loch Lommand, went out for dinner and they had the most amazing onion soup. I remember that soup well.
I can count on one hand the number of times I've been to a posh restaurant with a guy! |

"and why?
Anyone been to one that overlooks a lake?
Or a rooftop with stunning views?
Or somewhere else pretty or scenic?
PW"
Check out 'The Waterside Inn' maidenhead its fabulous and is waterside, book when Alain Roux's chef. (3 Michelin star) , hes outstanding im well overdue a visit.
My favourite has to be 'Atelier Crenn' in san Francisco. I was lucky enough to beable to get a seat at the chefs table. Dominique Crenn is unbeatable she has passion & attentiveness but is unlike any other chefs ive met. |

"One restaurant in Greenland next to a Frozen lake
Wow I want to go there, been close visited country Iceland few years ago "
Iceland is beautiful too. Greenland has some brilliant views and you will see relatively less number of tourists due to the prices. But still once in a lifetime experience. |

El Cabito perched on the cliffs with spectacular views (& weather!) in the Dominican Republic - Google it.
Pina Coladas made fresh to order with freshly picked coconut, pineapples & Dominican rum,
Fresh fish & lobster that was still in the sea hours before it's cooked & I've watched humpback whales breaching in the ocean whilst eating & drinking there!

Can’t remember the name but it was in Indonesia, perched on top of a cliff on a private island.
We sat overlooking the sea as the sun set, with monkeys everywhere climbing the walls and trees around us (but surprisingly they didn’t attempt to take our food).
There were no other guests on the whole island. We got lucky I guess.
After dinner we were taken on a tiny boat through the mangroves and had dessert amongst the fireflies. Definitely one to remember.
Food was great too - mixture of indo and Malay food. |

The Grassington House Hotel, in Grassington. First proper date hubby and I went on.
We recently tried to revisit for our 15th wedding anniversary but got stuck in the snow and had to turn back. |
