I think sometimes discretion is the better part of valour, when it comes to honesty.
There are a few people that think they know what they are talking about but in truth they don't, it does make them liars just factually incorrect. |

Unfortunately that's the case, and not just here. I'd get into trouble with people right the way back since school for being too honest. It makes some uncomfortable and can leave you vulnerable. However, it also leads to being respected by the right sort of people. I have no regrets. |

I think they're the people who confuse honesty with opinion. |

I speak openly about everything. It unnerves some at first. I have found many aren't accustomed to straight talking. Too concerned with societal norms.

"Honesty or openness? I choose actively to be both. I find the more open I am, the more meaningful my conversations with other people are. "
You're right. There's a difference between the 2 but I also choose both. |

There's a significant difference between telling a painful truth and telling a truth to inflict pain.
Telling people painful truths with the only objective being avoiding social norms is disrespectful. |

Yes I do both as well, but find myself question whether I should. However, its very doubtful I will change, just not built that way! |

I am quite open with people I meet up with.
That said this lifestyle isn’t a ‘secret’ for me and my fella knows all about it so I’m not worried about some of the things a lot of people are like work, secret from partner etc etc.
