Was meeting a friend for our weekly fish and chips lunch in the local spoons. The normally quiet upstairs area was soon full of young teenagers celebrating what I assume was their last day of school. All dressed up and some of the young ladies were wearing free at last sashes.
How did you mark the end of school? |

How did you mark the end of school? " I left 3 months before to avoid the eggs and flour but with today's prices I bet that doesn't happen. |

Reading couple of these make me think I led such an innocent life.
Am sure some of my classmates went to the pub but doubt I joined them. Don't think we did shirt or book signing.
Think I was just glad to be gone from there, though was good at school other factors meant did not enjoy it |

I was giving birth to my son, he was born 4 days before my GCSE results. I didn't do much celebrating.
The end of sixth form I couldn't celebrate either. On that results day, I had to go to court about access etc with my son's father. He refused to consent to changing the date. |

I nearly got suspended for my part in egg and flour hilarities against the girls school just around the corner from the boys school in which some nuns “may” have been caught in the crossfire…. Your honour |

"We signed each other’s school shirts.
Sadly some of those I was in my final year with died within two years of leaving School (car accidents)." I was looking at my 5th year school photo with the whole year group on and I counted 5 people who aren’t with us anymore quite sad when you look at them and that they didn’t get to 30 |
